Options On The Electric Motors

JIE-Euronorm supplies electric motors in aluminium and cast iron housings for a wide range of industrial applications. Many electric motors are assembled with JIE-Euronorm gear reducers, allowing customers to receive a complete drive unit from one supplier.

The motors are available in different frame sizes, speeds, voltages and power ranges. Standard sizes in stock include IEC 56 up to IEC 355, while solutions up to larger frame sizes and higher power ranges are also available depending on the application.

Due to the increased internationalization among JIE-Euronorm customers, there is also a growing demand for electric motors with different voltages and certifications. For this reason, JIE-Euronorm keeps a range of motors suitable for the North American market, including 208V60Hz and/or 460V60Hz versions with UL/CSA certification.

Electric motors can be equipped with many options, including AC brakes, DC brakes, double brakes for theatre applications, ATEX brakes, increased IP ratings, anti-condensation heating, PTCs or thermal contacts, special bearings, external cooling, marine or ship design, coatings and fully enclosed versions.

JIE-Euronorm also has its own engineering department and extensive workshop facilities for modifications, assembly and special electric motor solutions. This makes it possible to adapt motors to customer-specific applications and complete drive systems.

One of the latest developments is the submersible drive unit. This drive unit is capable of operating completely underwater to a depth of 30 meters and is mainly used in dredging, sand extraction and gravel industry applications.
